The anti-bullying ombudsmen and student and apprentice representatives in Nordland, Troms and Finnmark have prepared a joint kindergarten start, after-school care start and school start package for 2026.
The packages are designed to support kindergartens, after-school care centers and schools in their work to provide a safe, clear and inclusive start for all children and young people in our counties.
The package is based on the 2025 workshop on a good start to school, in which several employees from our upper secondary schools participated.
The packages will help kindergartens, after-school care centers and schools to have more equal practices through shared understanding and responsibility for our children and young people.
We ask that the starter pack be shared with all kindergartens, after-school care centers and schools and all employees who meet children and young people in their day-to-day kindergarten and school life . This applies to management, educational leaders, teachers, professional workers, assistants, environmental workers, after-school care employees, temporary workers, school health services and other adults who are part of children and young people's kindergarten and school environment.
A good start is not just about the first days and hours of August. For some children and young people, it's a start every day, every week and in every new room.
Therefore, it is important that all adults are prepared, coordinated and clear in their work to see each individual student and build a community that provides security, belonging, meaning and mastery.
