The Omnimodel is a mindset with various tools and models. It helps us understand the importance of community in a safe and good upbringing environment.

The Omnimodel's toolbox
Laws and regulations as the basis for the Omnimodel ➝

What regulations apply in kindergartens and schools related to the right to be safe and well, and how can you work with them?
Culture is the framework within which we act ➝

Children and young people meet adults in different roles, and we each have responsibility for our parts of the upbringing arena with mutual influence.
Children and young people are growing and developing ➝

Children and young people use language and think differently than adults. Sometimes they also do things that we adults don't fully understand. The tool helps us understand what is happening from the perspective of children and young people.
Omni staircase explains a community in negative development ➝

Omni staircase helps you see how culture is changing in an unwanted direction, step by step.
Doorstep rules as a community standard ➝

Different groups and rooms have different rules. Through doorstep rules (rules that apply when you enter the room), a common framework and understanding of how we should treat each other here is established.
The red and green community ➝

The red and green community is the tool that can help you analyze and answer whether a community is good for everyone.
Assessing community qualities ➝

What qualities does our group have, and what challenges are there? What do we need to work on in particular? This tool can clarify the qualities and challenges of the individual and the group.
Working model for promoting, preventing, stopping and supporting (FFSS) ➝

The FFSS (promote, prevent, stop, support) working model helps you find and plan actions.
The omni-model for sports ➝

Recommendation from the student, apprentice and bullying ombudsmen in Troms and Finnmark
The ombudsmen receive nearly 300 inquiries from children, young people and parents each year. Most of these are about children and young people experiencing abuse, bullying and exclusion. This number is too high.
The ombudsmen experience that many schools, kindergartens and leisure providers are trying to focus on creating a safe and good learning and growing environment. Nevertheless, we see that the proportion of children and young people who report that they experience abuse, bullying and exclusion is stable. Exclusion is a major social problem. For some, this already starts in kindergarten. This is why we as ombudsmen are involved in the development of the Omnimodel.
We hope the model contributes with understanding, input, reflections and concrete tips in the work of building an even better and safer kindergarten, school and upbringing environment where you live.
The Omnimodel is intended to be a guide and a roadmap in the work of carrying out systematic, continuous and targeted work to provide children and young people with a safe and good growing up environment.
The model will help equip adults in various roles to do this job in the best possible way every day, every hour, every minute.

What do parents say?
Thank you for the great post at the parent meeting on Wednesday. I was surprised by the Omnimodel where parents were at the top of the stairs, and suddenly understood what has happened in our family. All parents need to hear the explanation about the Omnimodel.
